Dejan Kulusevski says Spurs have an ‘unbelievable’ 25-year-old in their ranks

Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski has described Spurs teammate Cristian Romero as an “unbelievable” player.

The Tottenham attacker, speaking on Amazon Prime Video Sport ahead of Thursday’s Premier League meeting with West Ham, said it was good to have the 25-year-old Spurs star back.

Tottenham welcomed Romero back on Thursday evening after his three-game suspension, and he marked his return with a goal.

Sadly, the Argentina international couldn’t prevent Spurs from losing to the Hammers. He was unfortunate for the visitors’ equaliser and could no nothing about their winner.

Despite another negative result, it’s good to have Romero back and, speaking on Amazon Prime Video Sport, Kulusevski admitted he was buzzing to have the powerhouse centre-back back.

“He is unbelievable,” said the Swede. “Everybody knows it. You just have to watch the game, what a player.

“So to lose him has not been easy but the guys who have came in like Emerson and Davies have been very, very fantastic. So proud of those guys but it feels good to have one of those guys back.”

Despite Romero’s return, Spurs are still in the midst of an injury crisis, so it’s not as though they’re out of the woods yet.

James Maddison, Micky van de Ven and Rodrigo Bentancur are all ruled out until the new year, so for the time being, the Lilywhites will need to carry on as best they can.

Tottenham have suffered a major downturn in form and it’s obviously not something easy to reverse. So Spurs will need to be fully focused during this busy period of football.

Nevertheless, having Romero back is a huge positive, and hopefully he can help shut up shop at the back and help Spurs back to winning form in the coming weeks.
